The Compressor course zeros in on another fundamental component of an HVAC system, the compressor. Learn its basic functionalities: from its compression and intake strokes, to the maintenance of its valves. Within this course you will discover the many types of compressors, with a focus on reciprocating, scroll, hermetic and semi-hermetic. You will learn how to calculate compression ratios and their significance on a system. Finally, you’ll realize the reality of lubrication, why it is so important and maintenance methods.
